The 4th of July is a time for Bar-B-Ques, Apple Pies, Water Slide, Bounce Houses, Parades and of course…fireworks.
While we would always encourage leaving the fireworks to the professionals, should you choose to keep the festivities at your home, please make sure that it’s the adults doing all the launching.
Wear Earplugs.
Earplugs are an inexpensive and easy way to protect your hearing. For younger children, we recommend wearing earmuffs.
Know your Limits
Avoid noises that are “too loud” and “too close” or that last “too long”.
Fireworks are the only way kids and families can have fun outdoors. Here are some alternative options to fireworks that are safe and maybe even more fun!
If you are considering sparklers, please just be aware that even though sparklers appear to be a safe alternative, they can burn as hot as 1,200 to 2,000 degrees Fahrenheit. They can easily ignite clothing and cause severe burning.
