Joanna Walker, MD, is a skilled pediatrician at Angel Kids Pediatrics in Jacksonville, Amelia Island, and Saint Johns, Florida.
As a mother of two very active little boys, Dr. Walker can relate to almost any challenge a parent might face, and she is happy to lend guidance, support, or just a listening ear when needed. She enjoys long days at the beach with her family in her spare time, watching her boys play football or baseball, and occasionally curling up with a good book.
Dr. Walker joined the United States Air Force in 2003 and attended medical school on a military scholarship. She completed her residency training at the Wright-Patterson Air Force Base – Wright State University Integrated Pediatric Residency Program in Dayton, Ohio.
She has since settled back in her hometown of Neptune Beach, Florida, where she lives with her husband, two sons, and her bulldog, Daisy. Dr. Walker is passionate about caring for children and loves helping them develop healthy minds and bodies.
She then had the honor and privilege of spending the next four years caring for the children of USAF military members at Moody Air Force Base, where she served as the Medical Director of Pediatrics and Director of Immunizations. Dr. Walker was honorably discharged from the USAF in 2014.
She has been a board-certified pediatrician since 2010. She grew up in Neptune Beach, Florida, and completed her undergraduate degree in microbiology at the University of Florida (Go Gators!). She obtained her medical degree from Nova Southeastern University in 2007.
Dr. Joanna Walker joined Angel Kids Pediatrics in January 2021.
